What is the Support at Home Program?
The Support at Home Program is the Australian Government’s in-home aged care program. It helps older people access support so they can continue living safely, independently, and comfortably at home.
Through Support at Home, eligible older Australians may receive services that help with health needs, independence, daily living, social connection, transport, and support around the home.

Costs and Contributions
The cost of Support at Home services depends on the type of service you receive and your personal circumstances. Some services are fully funded by the Australian Government, while others may require a participant contribution. Your contribution is based on the service category and, in some cases, your income and assets assessment.
Clinical Supports
Essential nursing and clinical care are fully funded by the government for eligible participants, requiring no out-of-pocket setup administration.
Fully SubsidisedIndependence & Living
Contributions may apply for Independence and Everyday Living services, such as domestic assistance and community social support setups.

You may be eligible for Support at Home if you are an older Australian who needs help to continue living independently at home. You or your loved ones may be assessed based on their current situation, health and mobility, the support they already have, and the services that may help them stay safe and well at home.

Yes. Family members and carers are welcome to contact us. We often speak with adult children, partners, relatives, and carers who are helping someone arrange support at home.
